International Association for Environmental Philosophy
The International Association for Environmental Philosophy (IAEP) embraces a broad
understanding of environmental philosophy, including not only environmental ethics,
but also environmental aesthetics, ontology, and theology, the philosophy of science,
ecofeminism, and the philosophy of technology. For IAEP, environmental philosophy
is both rigorous and engaged. It encourages joint meetings with other academic
disciplines and supports interdisciplinary student internships. IAEP welcomes a
diversity of approaches to environmental issues, including the many schools of
Continental Philosophy, the history of philosophy, and the tradition of American
Philosophy. Membership is open to all who share these concerns.
International Association for Philosophy and Literature
The International Association for Philosophy and Literature is dedicated to the
exchange of ideas and scholarly research within the humanities. Founded to provide
a context for the interplay of Philosophy, Literary Theory, and Cultural / Aesthetic /
Textual Studies, the IAPL brings together scholars from the full range of disciplines
concerned with philosophical, historical, critical, and theoretical issues.
Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy
The Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy was established in 1967 as a
non-profit organization aimed at advancing the development of the disciplines of
Asian and comparative philosophy in the international academic arena, and bringing
together Asian and Western philosophers, as well as other scholars interested in
Asian and world philosophy, for a mutually beneficial exchange of ideas. The Society
seeks to provide the professional outlet for philosophers doing work in non-Western
and comparative areas of philosophy. The group serves as the largest and most well
known professional organization for scholars in the fields of Asian and global
philosophy.
